About Our Therapy Services
Here at The Communication Corner, we support children who may be finding communication a little tricky. Our current focus is on supporting children with speech sound difficulties, helping them to speak more clearly and be understood by others, and Early Intervention, supporting children 0-3 years old that may not yet be communicating. However, we welcome all enquiries and are happy to discuss whether we can support your child’s specific communication needs.
. Our approach is playful, fun, engaging and supportive and we tailor our support to each individual child’s needs and goals. We aim to help each child communicate with confidence and develop the skills they need to connect with the world, and others around them.

Our Services
Initial Consultation
45 mins - 1 hour long

The purpose of the first appointment is to gather a range of information on your child’s communication needs. This will include a discussion with the parent/caregiver, formal assessment of speech and language and/or informal observations, e.g. observations of play.
Therapy
30 mins - £55
45 mins - £65
Follow-up therapy appointment(s) will target the needs identified during the initial consultation. Duration and frequency of therapy appointment(s) will be agreed on an individual basis depending on a range of factors.
Sometimes group therapy may be appropriate, and if there are any relevant groups running to meet your child's needs this will be discussed with you and more information provided.
Review

Reassessment of communication needs following period of therapy, to identify ongoing needs/new goals if required.
